UP: Violent clash in Deoria, six dead in firing over land dispute

Lucknow: A tragic incident unfolded in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, where a violent clash between two groups has resulted in six casualties. Among the deceased is former District Panchayat member Prem Yadav. The dispute, stemming from an old rivalry over land, escalated from a heated argument to a deadly confrontation involving firearms.

According to the report, the incident occurred in the Rudrapur Kotwali area, specifically in the Fatehpur Lehra Tola village. A total of six people lost their lives in the altercation, with one individual from the first party and five from the second party losing their lives.

Reportedly, the conflict began on Monday morning, rapidly escalating as it transformed into a physical brawl involving sticks, bricks, stones, and eventually firearms. In this violent exchange, Prem Yadav, along with five others, tragically lost their lives.

Law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the matter, and efforts to locate and apprehend the assailants are underway. The village is now under heavy police presence, with additional support from the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) to maintain law and order.

Additionally, it is worth noting that supporters of Premchand Yadav retaliated by attacking the residence of Satya Prakash Dubey, resulting in the loss of lives, including that of Dubey, his wife, and three other individuals. The incident underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgent need for a thorough investigation into these tragic events.
