Tunisha Sharma’s co-star Sheezan Khan arrested for abetment to suicide case

MUMBAI: In connection with the suicide case of TV actress Tunisha Sharma, her co-star Sheezan Khan has been arrested on Sunday. According to the police, a case of abetment to suicide was registered against him. He will presented in court on Monday.

Waliv police of Thane district have registered a case of abetment to suicide on Sheezan Khan. Section 306 of IPC has been imposed on Shizan.

The First Information Report, or FIR, of the case revealed that the two actors were in a relationship, and had broken up 15 days ago. Tunisha Sharma was reportedly under stress, and it is being suspected that’s what drove her to the edge.

Her autopsy was conducted at Mumbai’s JJ Hospital early on Sunday, police said, adding that there were no injury marks on her body. Initial probe suggested she died due to asphyxiation.

Sheezan Mohammed Khan, who was arrested after the actor’s mother filed a complaint against him, played the main role in the show ‘Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul’, at the sets of which she was found hanging. Tunisha Sharma’s mother in the complaint claimed that Tunisha and Sheezan were in a relationship and blamed the latter for her daughter’s extreme step. 

Tunisha Sharma was found dead on the spot during the shooting on Saturday.

According to the police, when there was a break during the shooting, Tunisha Sharma had gone to her make-up room, but she did not reach the shooting spot on time.

He told, “After that when some people went to see him, he did not open the door even after calling. When he opened the door, he had committed suicide by shooting (on the spot).”

ACP Chandrakant told that Tunisha’s mother has filed a complaint and they are probing the matter.
