Trinamool and Rival group clash: Miscreants vandalised TMC worker’s office in Kolkata

Kolkata: In a disturbing incident in Kolkata, miscreants allegedly ransacked the office of a Trinamool Congress (TMC) worker, Raju Naskar, in Beleghata. Naskar claimed that around 150 people armed with weapons vandalized his office and vehicle while women and children were beaten.

The clash between TMC workers and a rival group occurred in the northern part of Kolkata, according to officials. Adequate security personnel have been deployed in the area, and the situation is now under control, said Trinamool MLA Paresh Pal, who visited the site after the incident.

According to news agency ANI, “Miscreants vandalised office of TMC worker in Kolkata Yesterday, there was a scuffle and today, around 150 men barged into my office with arms & weapons. They vandalized my office and vehicle, beat up women & children. We have given complaint to the Police: Raju, TMC worker.”

Naskar, a local TMC leader, alleged that some party workers who had recently defected from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were behind the unrest in the area. He also claimed that his party workers were thrashed during the incident.

However, Alok Das, a member of the opposition group, alleged that Naskar’s loyalists attacked one of his supporters with weapons the previous night.
