Motihari– A devastating fire broke out in Hathiyahi Kasba village in Dakshin Dhekha Panchayat in Piprakothi police station area on Tuesday afternoon (March 28), claiming the life of a 10-year-old girl and destroying 31 houses in two blocks.
According to reports, the fire broke out due to an electrical short circuit in the house of Guddu Chaudhary, which quickly spread to 10 other houses, including the victim’s house. Firefighters were notified but arrived at the village 45 minutes later, when the fire had already spread to 21 houses in the neighboring Paharpur police station.
The victim’s father, Guddu Chaudhary, lost his daughter Nishu Kumari in the incident, and police conducted a postmortem on the body before handing it over to the family. Meanwhile, the fire destroyed everything in its path, including belongings and preparations for the wedding
