Wolvaardt: South African batters Laura Wolvaardt and Lizelle Lee have made significant gains in the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings after their performances in the recently concluded Women’s T20 World Cup, according to official release.
Wolvaardt, who finished as the most prolific batter in the tournament, rose eight places to sixth in the rankings, while Lee climbed six places to 17th position. England’s Sophie Ecclestone became only the second bowler in history to surpass 800 rating points in the Women’s T20I bowlers’ rankings, while Australia’s Darcie Brown moved up to third place after taking seven wickets in the tournament.
As per press statement, Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner, who was named Player of the Tournament, consolidated her position as the top all-rounder with a career-best 458 rating points.
