Nawanshahr(Punjab): In a recent meeting convened by Ashwani Joshi, the Convener of the Janhit Senior Citizen Committee in District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, concerns were raised over the ruthless felling of trees at the local School of Eminence, Government Senior Secondary School. The gathering emphasized the need to protect the environment and took a strong stand against the unjustifiable and illegal act of tree cutting.

Senior citizens present at the meeting, including Ashok Kumar Sharma, Hussan Lal Bali, Kapildev Bhardwaj, Harvinder Singh Hafijawadi, and others, declared those responsible for such audacious tree cutting as environmental killers. They expressed their deep concern for the environment and urged the administration to mete out exemplary punishment to those found guilty.

The senior citizens highlighted the significance of trees in maintaining a healthy environment and emphasized that everyone, regardless of age, has the right to breathe pure air. Trees, they stressed, are the life force that sustains us all.
