BALI(INDONESIA) : Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has told world leaders at the G20 summit that “Russia’s war must end now”.
He also requested to go ahead with an important grain export deal that is due to expire soon.
Zelensky addressed the leaders in Bali through video.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin is not participating in the G20 summit. In his place, he has sent Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to attend the conference. AFP reported quoting Yulia Tomskaya, the embassy’s chief of protocol, as saying.

“President Putin’s program is still being worked out, he could participate virtually,” Tomskaya said.
According to the AFP news agency, Zelensky said: “I believe that the time has come when Russia’s disastrous war must be stopped.”
Zelensky outlined several strategies, including ensuring nuclear and food security, ending hostilities.
Significantly, Zelensky repeatedly addressed the leaders of the G20 as ‘G19’. This means that Zelensky removed Russia from the G20 from this list.
