Preparations in full swing for Dussehra Ravan Dahan in Gandhi Maidan, check time and place in Delhi, Patna and other cities

Patna: Preparations for Dussehra and grand ‘Ravan Vadh’ event are in full swing across the India. The 10-day festival will begin with ‘kalash-sthapna’ ritual on the first day of the ‘Shardiya Navratri’ on September 26.

According to the report, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav will also participate in the Ravan Dahan program at Gandhi Maidan. There will also be fireworks after the program.

Dussehra will be celebrated with great fervour across the country on Wednesday. The festival which is observed on the day Dashami Tithi (tenth date) of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of the Ashwin month is observed in full swing across the country, by burning life-size effigies (filled with firecrackers) of Ravana, his son Meghnad and his brother Kumbhakaran.

What is the preparation for Ravana Dahan in Gandhi Maidan

The effigies of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhakaran are being made at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. The effigies of Ravana of 70 feet, Meghnath of 65 and Kumbhakaran of 60 feet are being prepared. On the day of Vijayadashami, ie tomorrow, there will be a program of Ravana slaughter at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

Kamal Nepani, president of the Dussehra committee, informed that this time a 70-feet Ravana is being built. 10 artisans from Patna and Gaya have been engaged to make it.

Gandhi Maidan is being continuously inspected by the district administration. This time people are very happy about Durga Puja, because this time people will be able to roam around in Durga Puja and will also be able to see Ravana slaughter. In such a situation, a lot of arrangements are being made by the district administration for the crowd reaching Gandhi Maidan.
