NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Rishi Sunak by calling him on assuming charge as the new Prime Minister of Britain. Sunak said that he is excited about what both nations can achieve in the coming years.
Narendra Modi tweeted and wrote, ” Glad to speak to Rishi Sunak today. Congratulated him on assuming charge as UK PM. We will work together to further strengthen our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. We also agreed on the importance of early conclusion of a comprehensive and balanced FTA.”

On Tuesday, Rishi Sunak formally took over as the Prime Minister of Britain. He is Britain’s first prime minister of Asian descent.
