NEW DELHI: The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme has been a lifeline for many small and marginal farmers in India, providing them with financial assistance to meet their farming needs. The scheme was launched in 2019 and since then, the Central government has released 13 installments of the scheme.
The recent release of the 13th installment has brought relief to many beneficiary farmers who were waiting for the financial support. However, they are now eagerly waiting for the next installment.
While the exact date for the release of the 14th installment is not yet announced, it is expected that the Central government may release it between April and July 2023. The installment is expected to provide a financial benefit of Rs 2,000 to eligible farmers.
Under the PM-KISAN scheme, all landholding farmers’ families are eligible to receive a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per annum, payable in three equal installments of Rs 2,000. They need to select the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option under the ‘Farmers Corner’ section on the homepage, enter their registered Aadhaar number or bank account number and click on ‘Get Data’ to see their installment status.
