Patna: In the eagerly awaited lead-up to the consecration of Lord Ram’s grand temple in Ayodhya on January 22, significant contributions and gestures are pouring in from across the country. The latest contribution to these offerings comes from the Mahavir Temple Trust in Patna, Bihar.
The Trust, led by President Kishore Kunal, has announced the presentation of a gold bow and arrow to Shri Ram Lalla on behalf of Mahavir Temple. In a heartfelt gesture, the Trust is also contributing a generous sum of Rs 10 crore for the construction of the Ram temple. The final installment of this substantial donation is slated to be handed over before the much-anticipated Pran Pratishtha program.
However, Kishore Kunal, sharing his thoughts on the significance of the contribution, stated, “After much contemplation, it was decided that Mithila would present a gold bow and arrow to Lord Ram before his consecration in the new temple. Considering that Sita’s marriage took place only after Shri Ram successfully broke the bow, the Dhanush holds a special place in this sacred connection between Mithila and Ayodhya.”
The gold bow and arrow, crafted by a reputable Chennai-based company, are set to reach Ayodhya by January 12, adding to the already heightened anticipation surrounding the consecration ceremony.
The Mahavir Temple Trust had pledged a total of Rs 10 crore for the construction of the Ram temple following the landmark Supreme Court decision on Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. Chairman Kishore Kunal disbursed the first installment of Rs 2 crore on April 2, followed by subsequent installments in 2021 and 2022. The fourth and final installment of Rs 2 crore is scheduled to be handed over on January 15, 2024, just before the consecration of Ram Lalla.
As Ayodhya gears up for the grand event, the city has been adorned with colossal posters showcasing the upcoming Ram Lalla temple and the new airport. Described as a city of dignity, religion, and culture, Ayodhya is set to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to inaugurate the new airport and redeveloped railway station on December 30. A road show from the airport to the station is also planned as part of the festivities.
The consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla temple, scheduled for January 22, will witness the active participation of Prime Minister Modi, further solidifying the historical and cultural significance of this momentous occasion. Large posters strategically placed around the new station building proudly display images of the under-construction Ram temple, extending a warm welcome to dignitaries and visitors to the sacred city of Ayodhya.
