Parliament Winter Session: Uproar in Rajya Sabha over Cong President Kharge’s ‘Mouse’, ‘Dog’ remarks

NEW DELHI: The 11th working day of the ongoing Parliament Winter Session on Tuesday witnessed heated exchanges between Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Opposition Congress over certain remarks.

According to the report, the uproar in the Rajya Sabha over Congress Party President Mallikarjun Kharge remarks. Which he said on Monday in Alwar, Rajasthan.

Referring to Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi in the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Mallikarjun Kharge had said, “The leaders of our party gave their lives for the country. Did the dog of the BJP people die? But, they are patriots and if we speak anything, they are traitors.”

The Rajya Sabha saw a stormy beginning as Union and industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge engaged in a heated argument. Goyal has asked Mallikarjun Kharge to apologize on this remarks.

While speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge said that he had given this statement outside the Parliament, so there is no need to discuss it in the Parliament.

He repeated his statement once again in the Rajya Sabha, saying, “I can still say that those people had no contribution in the freedom struggle. These are apologetic people.”
