Narottam Mishra objects to Deepika Padukone Pathan’s song ‘Besharm Rang’

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has objected to the dress of actress Deepika Padukone in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Pathan.

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s new song ‘Besharam Rang’ from their upcoming film ‘Pathaan’ has brewed a fresh controversy.

A song from the film Pathan was released on 12 December. The title of the song – Besharam Rang. Many people are raising questions on social media about Deepika Padukone’s outfit in this song. Many people are calling it indecent.

Narottam Mishra tweeted in Hindi, “The costumes in the song at first glance are objectionable. Actress Deepika Padukone who supports ‘Tukde Tukde gang’ is in the song of the film #Pathan. The costumes are highly objectionable and the song has been shot with a dirty mindset. The scenes and costumes of the songs should be corrected, otherwise, we will consider whether or not to allow the film to be released in Madhya Pradesh.”

In January 2020, some masked men targeted students and teachers and ransacked the campus of Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University. After this, in many parts of the country including Delhi, students and others protested condemning the incident.

At that time Deepika Padukone had also reached Jawaharlal Nehru University and expressed her support for the students who were the victims of the attack. Deepika had also met Aishe Ghosh, the President of the Students’ Union at that time, who had suffered injuries.

Although, Deepika Padukone did not address the people gathered there, but after talking to some people, she returned.

At that time Deepika Padukone’s film ‘Chhapaak’ was about to release. People linked his reaching JNU with the promotion of the film and the demand for boycott of Chhapak also started rising.
