MOTIHARI: Power supply will remain closed for five hours in Motihari district. According to a Powercom spokesperson, electricity will remain closed in some areas of the city on Wednesday due to repair of electrical wires and equipment. It is noteworthy that this is happening for the first time when there is power cut in the winter season.
According to the Electricity Department, the winter maintenance work of the 132 KV power grid established at Mehsi in Chakia sub-division area will be started on Tuesday. Due to which, on Tuesday, January 31, from 10 am to 3 pm, the power supply coming out of the feeder will be interrupted.
As per the information, all the equipment including transformer will be repaired. From 10 am to 3 pm, power supply will remain suspended at Mehsi, Chakia, Pipra, Harpurnag, Madhuban, Vrindavan, Tetaria, Fenhara, Narha Panapur and its surrounding areas. All the poles and dilapidated wires of this area will also be repaired so that electricity consumers do not face any problem related to electricity.
The official of the electricity department told that the heat has already started increasing, although there can be a lot of possibility of heat this year. Preparations have already been started regarding this so that no one has any problem regarding electricity in summer.
