PATNA: A massive fire erupted in three godowns at Patna, around 5 am on Tuesday morning causing chaos and destruction in the area.
According to the report, the incident took place on Guru Govind Singh Path of Chowk police station area, where three godowns, namely Soota Godown, Bajrang Transport, and Vimla Enterprises, came under the grip of the fire. All three godowns were in the same building, and the fire started in the cotton godown and spread to other areas.
A video of the incident also surfaced online from the affected building, above which a huge tower of smoke persisted while the flames spread all over the goods.

The locals reported the fire, and the fire brigade personnel reached the spot but found that the fire had taken a massive form by then. The fire had already reached Vimla Enterprises, where Raju used to package refined oil. Raju had started the business a few months ago and had more than a dozen tankers present on the day of the incident. Unfortunately, the fire destroyed everything, causing significant damage to the godowns.
Six fire engines reached the spot and tried to douse the fire, but it took three hours to control 60 percent of the fire. The efforts to extinguish the fire were ongoing at the time of writing. The incident caused a loss of more than one crore in all the three godowns together. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Patna City SDO Gunjan Singh instructed the people to vacate their houses wherever the smoke or flames of the fire were going, as the walls had become weak due to the fire. He urged the people not to gather and issued a helpline number to report any information related to the incident.
