PATNA: In a recent announcement, Congress leader KC Venugopal revealed that the next meeting of the opposition parties will take place in Bengaluru, the capital city of Karnataka. The two-day meeting is scheduled to be held on July 17 and 18, 2023. This follows the previous gathering of opposition parties, which occurred in Patna on June 23, with participation from leaders of 15 prominent opposition parties from across the nation.
Taking to Twitter, Congress leader Venugopal shared the news, stating, “We will organize the next meeting in Bengaluru on July 17 and 18, 2023.” In his tweet, he expressed the unwavering determination of the opposition to combat fascist and anti-democratic forces and present a concrete vision for the nation’s progress.
Initially planned for July 14, the date of the opposition parties’ meeting was later extended. Indications regarding the change in the date had been given by leaders of all the opposition parties who had participated in the previous gathering.
The upcoming meeting in Bengaluru holds significance as it will bring together leaders from various opposition parties, fostering a platform for discussions, strategic planning, and consensus-building. It is expected that key issues concerning the nation’s governance, policies, and future direction will be deliberated upon during this meeting.
