Jio users in Shimla, Hamirpur, Nadaun and Bilaspur to enjoy True 5G services from today
Shimla: Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu launched Jio True 5G services in Himachal Pradesh from Shimla on Tuesday. In addition to Shimla, the Jio True 5G services were simultaneously launched at CM’s home district Hamirpur, CM’s constituency Nadaun and Bilaspur.
Vikramaditya Singh, PWD & Youth and Sports Minister, Kapil Ahuja, CEO, North, Reliance Jio and Atul Kansal, CEO, Himachal Pradesh, Reliance Jio were also present on the occasion.
Starting today, the technological advantages of high-speed, low-latency, stand-alone True 5G services shall be made available to the people and businesses of these cities.
The transformational benefits of Jio True 5G and the application of this immersive technology in the fields of healthcare, education, and other key sectors of importance for India was demonstrated at the launch event. A glimpse of the generational advancement that will be seen in these areas were showcased through the Jio Community Clinic medical kit, and the revolutionary AR-VR device and Jio Glass.
At the launch event, the Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said, “I congratulate Jio and the people of Himachal Pradesh, on the launch of Jio’s True 5G services in the state. This launch is an important milestone for the people of the state, who will benefit immensely from Jio’s 5G services. 5G services will usher in a plethora of opportunities and enriched experiences for every individual, including students, businessmen & professionals. This will also bring fundamental changes in sectors like tourism, e-governance, healthcare, horticulture, agriculture, automation, education, artificial intelligence, disaster management, IT & manufacturing etc.
We all have witnessed the benefits of digital connectivity during the pandemic. Expansion of 5G services will further strengthen the digital infrastructure of the state”,
