New Delhi/Bhopal: The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage Indians people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of Independence kicked off on Saturday.
With this, the campaign is being celebrated in a unique way in Khandwa. A group of swimming youth celebrated independence by hoisting the tricolor in the river. Not only this, while swimming, Bharat Mata’s cheers were also raised in the middle river.

The swimmers seen in the viral video belong to the group ‘Raja of the Waves’. He worked as a part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign started under the Amrit Mahotsav. The view of Nagchun pond and Abna river in Khandwa is very pleasing to the people. The swimming youth have saluted by hoisting the tricolor flag in the middle of the water. The tricolor campaign of Swimmer Dal Lehar Ke Raja Group will continue till August 15. However, this time the country is going to celebrate 75th Independence Day. In this episode, the Raja group of waves descended deep in the middle of Nagchun pond and Abna river and hoisted the tricolor.

Sharma, a member of the Raja group of Lehars, told that the tricolor campaign is going on in every household in the country. In such a situation, an idea came in the mind of all of us members that why not do something different for the pride of the tricolor. That’s why we have done the work of hoisting the tricolor between the river and the pond. Amarinder Singh Sachdeva, another member of the Lehar Ke Raja group, swims throughout the year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has appreciated this effort by twitting. He twitted and said that “salute to this spirit! This bold scene of incomparable respect for the tricolor shows the enthusiasm and zeal of the Indians.

On Wednesday, PM Modi said the Indian national flag does not contain only three colours in itself but is a reflection of the pride of our past, our commitment to the present and our dreams of the future.
Addressing a Tiranga Rally in Surat via video conferencing, PM Modi recalled that in a few days’ time, India is completing 75 years of its independence and said that all of us are preparing for this historic Independence Day as the Tricolour is hoisted in every corner of the country.

The Central government has urged people to hoist or display the tricolour in their homes from August 13 to 15 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.
A citizen, a private organization or an educational institution may hoist or display the National Flag on all days and occasions. There is no restriction on the timing of flag display.
The government has amended the Flag Code of India to allow the tricolour to be displayed in the open and on individual houses or buildings day and night.
