Gautam Adani dropped out of 10 richest billionaires list of the world

NEW DELHI: Gautam Adani, the founder of the Adani Group, has been out of the list of ten richest people in the world on Tuesday.

After the American financial firm Hindenburg Research made serious allegations related to financial irregularities on the Adani Group, the shares of companies associated with it are declining.

According to the list.  Chairman of the Indian conglomerate Adani Group, Gautam Adani has a net worth of USD 84.4 billion while Jeff Bezos’ net worth increased to USD 124 billion as of 31 January 2023.

With USD 189 billion, Bernard Arnault is still the richest man alive. According to data from Bloomberg, Gautam Adani’s net worth dropped by USD 8.21 billion in the past day and has lost USD 36.1 billion overall.

It has also affected the personal property of Gautam Adani.

In the last few days, after being out of the list of the five richest people in the world, now they have also been out of the list of ten richest people.

Gautam Adani has reached the 11th position in the latest list of Bloomberg, a group that gives news related to the economic world. This list has been updated today i.e. on January 31 only.

However, he is still at the eighth position in Forbes’ list of billionaires.

The 500 richest persons are ranked each day by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Every trading day in New York comes to a close with an update of the numbers.

Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, is currently the third richest person in the world, behind Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter, and Bernard Arnault, chairman of Louis Vitton.

In the early trade of the stock market on Tuesday, the stock of Adani Enterprises has seen a jump of two percent.

Today is also the last day of the Rs 20,000 crore FPO of Adani Enterprises.

All eyes are on whether the company can win investors’ confidence for its AFPO following the report by short selling research firm Hindenburg.

After the release of this report on January 24, the listed companies of Adani Group have suffered a loss of $65 billion. Adani Group has termed these reports as baseless.
