BPSC announces dates for 69th Integrated Combined Preliminary Examination

PATNA: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has recently revealed the dates for the online application process of the 69th Integrated Combined Preliminary Examination. As per the official announcement, interested candidates can submit their applications online starting from July 15th. The deadline for submitting applications has been set as August 5th. Notably, this will be the first instance where the preliminary examination for multiple similar exams will be conducted together. These exams include the 69th Combined Competitive Examination, Financial Administrative Officer, Child Development Project Officer, and Deputy Superintendent of Police Technical.

Exploring Available Positions

The commission has provided detailed information about the available positions in two separate tables. The first table consists of 235 posts, with 73 vacancies specifically reserved for women. The second table encompasses 111 positions for Child Development Project Officer, Financial Administrative Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Technical Tax, and their equivalents. Among these, 29 posts have been set aside for female candidates. In total, there will be recruitment for 346 posts.

Age Limit for Applicants

To be eligible for this examination, candidates must meet the minimum age requirement of 20 to 22 years, with a maximum age limit of 37 years for the general category, 40 years for BC (Backward Class) and EBC (Extremely Backward Class), and 42 years for SC-ST (Scheduled Caste-Scheduled Tribe). Furthermore, government servants will have a maximum of five opportunities to appear in these exams after joining the service.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates interested in applying for the examination must have completed their graduation. Additionally, specific educational qualifications are required for each position:
  2. Child Development Project Officer: A bachelor’s degree in Home Science, Psychology, Sociology, or Labor and Social Welfare with a minimum of 50 percent marks.
  3. Deputy Superintendent of Police Technical: Candidates should possess a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering and Communication, or Electrical Engineering with a specialization in electronic communication. Graduation is a mandatory requirement.

Financial Administrative Officer and Equivalent Positions: Applicants should have a graduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
