PATNA: Upendra Kushwaha, president of the newly formed Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal in Bihar, has resigned from the membership of the Legislative Council (MLC).
Earlier, In 2021, through the grace of Nitish Kumar, Kushwaha became a member of the Bihar Legislative Council.
On Friday, Upendra Kushwaha submitted his resignation after a meeting with Devesh Chandra Thakur, chairman of the Bihar Legislative Council, at 3 pm. After that he has no relation with JDU in any way. Kushwaha was opening a front against Nitish Kumar only after staying in JDU for the last few days.

Announcing his resignation on Twitter, he has also written a message to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
He has said, “Chief Minister, “Twadiyan Vastu Tubhyamev Samarpaye” Today I have submitted my resignation from the membership of the Legislative Council. My mind is now lighter. It is a pleasant feeling to come out of the cycle. Leaving the request, on the way to the battle. I’m out.”
Earlier, Upendra Kushwaha, who was angry with Janata Dal United, resigned from JDU on February 20 and announced the formation of a new party.
Upendra Kushwaha had said about resigning from the membership of the Legislative Council on Monday itself.
