PATNA: Famous Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi continues his philanthropic work by funding the renovation of his alma mater Belsand High School in Gopalganj district. A native of Belsand, Tripathi has always strived to improve conditions in her village over the years.
The impetus for this project came in September 2022 when the county government announced support for people who had moved to another city but wanted to help improve their hometown. Tripati saw this as an opportunity to make a positive impact on his alma mater. Two months later, the principal contacted me and explained that I needed financial support to build walls and gates to keep the students safe. When Tripathi attended school with her brother Vijendra, she realized that the school needed a lot of improvement. Without hesitation, the Tripati brothers decided to sponsor the renovation, which began in January. Their main goal was to motivate students to attend school regularly by providing them with state-of-the-art facilities. As part of the renovation, eco-friendly solar panels were installed, making the school self-sufficient in its electricity supply.
Looking to the future, Tripati aims to establish a large library on the school grounds. Being an avid reader himself, he knows the importance of instilling good reading habits in his students. By establishing a well-stocked library, he aims to inspire young minds to discover the joy and knowledge within the pages of books.
