Injured Police Constable rushed to Hospital after firing incident in Patna
PATNA: In an unfortunate incident, a police constable was injured when two individuals opened fire during a vehicle checking operation in Patna, Bihar, on Saturday. The injured constable, identified as Ram Avatar, was swiftly transported to Rajeshwari Hospital in Patna for medical treatment, according to officials.
According to the report, the incident took place in the Patrakar Nagar police station region of Patna when the constable was shot by unknown assailants.
According to the ANI, Rajeev Mishra, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Patna, stated, “Today, during vehicle checking near the Kali Mandir area at Patrakar Nagar Police Station, two suspected goons arrived on a motorcycle and fired at our constable before fleeing the scene.”
Authorities had directed every police station in the district to conduct vehicle search drives as per the orders of the district administration. “Since morning, the police have detained four motorcycles and six suspects during the checking. However, no arrests have been made thus far,” confirmed the SSP.
Fortunately, the injured constable’s condition is stable, and he is out of danger. The constable exhibited bravery by apprehending the motorcycle used by the attackers. An investigation into the incident has been initiated, as stated by the SSP.
