VARANASI (UP): Tej Pratap Yadav, the Environment Minister of Bihar, was reportedly misbehaved with at a hotel in Varanasi, leading to his ejection from the premises. The incident has sparked a controversy, with Yadav demanding an FIR be filed against the hotel management for their behavior.
According to reports, Yadav and his convoy were staying at the Arkadia Hotel, where their luggage was stored in rooms 205 and 206, while the security personnel stayed in 205. However, upon returning to the hotel late on Friday night after a boat ride on the Ganges, Yadav found his belongings at the reception instead of his room.
When he inquired about the situation, Yadav was reportedly met with hostile behavior from the hotel staff. The hotel management eventually threw Yadav and his team out of the hotel, along with their luggage. Yadav’s personal secretary, Vishal Sinha, filed a complaint with the police, which is currently being investigated, as per report.
DCP Kashi Zone RS Gautam confirmed that the police are questioning the hotel management over the incident. Meanwhile, Yadav has demanded that an FIR be filed against the hotel management for their behavior.
The incident has sparked a political controversy, with opposition parties accusing the ruling party of mistreating Yadav. The incident has also raised questions about the safety and security of politicians when traveling outside their own states.
