Big news for superfast speed users, 5G service to start this month in India, Airtel 5G Network agreement complete to launch service end of month

Bharti Airtel will likely be the first Indian telecom operator to roll out 5G on a full-fledged scale in India.

New Delhi: After waiting four years for 5G connectivity, there is great news for superfast speed users. Users will start getting 5G internet speed by the end of this month.

One of the three major telecom operators, Bharti Airtel finally has a launch timeline for the next-gen cellular network technology.

In a new press release, The Airtel company has confirmed that it will start its 5G service before the end of August. Airtel has roped in Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung as its network partners to launch 5G service. With these three companies, Airtel has signed a deal worth $ 2.5 billion (more than Rs 19,750 crore) for 5G equipment supply. Airtel has acquired 19867.8MHz spectrum in 5G spectrum auction in 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz, 3300MHz and 26GHz frequencies.

“Our network agreements are finalised and Airtel will work with the best technology partners from across the world to deliver the full benefits of 5G connectivity to our consumers”, Airtel press release added.

“Choice of multiple partners will enable Airtel to roll out 5G services spanning ultra-high-speeds, low latency and large data handling capabilities, which will enable a superior user experience and allow the pursuit of new, innovative use cases with enterprise and industry customers,” the release added.

Users of these cities will get 5G speed first

In the initial phase, Airtel can start its 5G service in big metro cities and some urban centers. It is believed that the company will upgrade its more than 30 thousand sites with 5G equipment from Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung. According to a report, Airtel’s 5G service will be the first to be used by users from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and some other such big cities. The company can give information about this in the coming days.

Network agreement completed

Airtel said in its press release, “We are pleased to announce that Airtel will launch 5G services in August. Our network agreements have been finalized and Airtel will work with top technology partners around the world to enable users to take full advantage of 5G connectivity.” It will be able to better manage high-speed, low latency and large data, so that users can be given a great experience of 5G speed.

Meanwhile, no official information about the 5G rollout has been given by the country’s other telecom companies – Reliance Jio and Vodafone-Idea. According to a recent report in Telecom Talk, Jio Chairman Akash Ambani may announce Jio 5G service rollout on August 15, on the occasion of 75 years of the country’s independence. However, no official date has been given by these three companies for the rollout of 5G service.

All three companies are in the race to start their 5G service first. In such a situation, it will be very interesting to see who comes first in this race.
