Bihar: Another blow to JDU, former MLA Guddi Devi joins BJP

Patna: BJP has given another blow to JDU. Former JDU MLA Guddi Devi has joined BJP. He joined the BJP in the presence of several leaders including BJP State President Sanjay Jaiswal, Union Minister Nityanand Rai, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Council, Samrat Chaudhary.

Guddi Devi, who was an MLA from Runnisaidpur assembly seat in Sitamarhi district in 2005 and 2010, joined JDU in 2017. Expressing happiness on joining JDU, Guddi Devi called it her homecoming. On the other hand, when Guddi Devi joined the party, Vashistha Narayan Singh had talked about the strength of the party.

After the formation of the Grand Alliance in the assembly elections, RJD was given ticket in place of Guddi Devi. At the same time, on this occasion, JDU State President Vashisht Narayan Singh had said that there are many big leaders of other parties, who are in constant touch with JDU.
In 2015, when Guddi Devi did not get a ticket from the party, she had entered the fray on the SP’s symbol.

Bihar BJP reported through twitter, today a nomination meeting was organized in Gopalganj in support of BJP’s candidate Kusum Devi. BJP State President Sanjay Jaiswal, Union Minister Nityanand Rai, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Council Samrat Chaudhary, Union Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Modi, Leader of Opposition Vijay Kumar Sinha and many leaders were present in the meeting.
