Argentina goalkeeper Martinez called for a minute’s silence for Mbappe as they celebrated in the dressing room after winning the FIFA World Cup final on Sunday.
Kylian Mbappe and Emi Martiez were the stars of the 2022 FIFA World Cup final alongside Lionel Messi who was crowned as World Champion for the first time in his career. Mbappe scored a stunning hat-trick which went in vain as Martinez’s heroics helped Argentina lift the title for the first time in 36 years.
Mbappe, a 23-year-old player from France, scored a hat-trick in the final of the World Cup and also won the Golden Boot.

After the match, the Argentine goalkeeper was heard telling his team-mates to observe a minute’s silence for Mbappe.
In the entire match, Mbappe dodged Martinez and put the ball in the goalpost four times.
