13 feared dead, 28 injured as private bus falls into valley behind Shingroba temple on Old Pune-Mumbai Highway,

A tragic incident has occurred on the old Pune-Mumbai highway, where a private bus fell into a valley behind the Shingroba temple. According to an employee of the rescue team who spoke to PTI, at least 13 people are feared dead in the accident, and women and children may also be among the casualties. It has been reported that around 40 to 45 people were traveling on the bus at the time of the incident.

The rescue team is working tirelessly to evacuate the passengers who are still trapped in the bus. The injured passengers have been rushed to Khopoli Nagar Hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.

According to the report, “The bus was carrying members of ‘Baji Prabhu Vaadak Group’ from Mumbai’s Goregaon. They were returning to Goregaon after taking part in an event in Pimpri Chinchwad area in Pune district. The bus had left the venue around 1 am on Saturday,” he said, adding that at least 12 persons were killed and 27 others injured in the accident.

The cause of the accident is still unknown, and the authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause. The incident is a tragic reminder of the importance of road safety, and authorities are urging people to follow all necessary precautions while traveling.

A team of local police and a trekker’s group are currently engaged in the rescue operation, police said.

The government and local authorities have expressed their condolences to the families of the victims and have promised to provide all necessary assistance and support during this difficult time.
